Following are their responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Zack Meadows, Partner\/CEO<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Make sure you have a good operational computer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure you have Xactimate up and running <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>Get your discounted Xactimate subscription through Mid-America today!&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.midamcat.com\/xactimate-id-subscribe\/\">Follow this link<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Download the carriers&#8217; profiles ahead of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LICENSE-LICENSE-LICENSE\u2026..DO NOT DEPEND ON AN EMERGENCY LICENSE!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure you can cover a month\u2019s worth of expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Robert Uhler, Executive Vice President<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check ladder, hinges, locks, wear and tear. (This is huge, as they represent tons of opportunity in an event due to policy count.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get <strong>TWIA <\/strong>certified to confirm they are eligible for deployment if a CAT hits the <strong>Texas <\/strong>coast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Courtney Belletty, Inside Deployment Manager<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Make sure your medical appointments are all taken care of before deploying.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have your vehicle serviced before deploying and is in ready-to-roll shape.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Licenses!!!!!!!!!!! Can\u2019t stress that one enough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be ready- when you get the call don\u2019t say give me about two weeks&#8230; you need to be sitting on GO\u2026 Time is money and Time doesn\u2019t wait for anyone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check your emails.. make sure <a href=\"mailto:adjusterservices@midamcat.com\" data-type=\"mailto\" data-id=\"mailto:adjusterservices@midamcat.com\">adjusterservices@midamcat.com<\/a> is saved to your email so it doesn\u2019t go to spam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paul Griff, Senior Account Manager<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Licenses up to date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call firms you are registered with to inform them you are available for deployment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check all equipment including computer and any needed subscriptions&nbsp; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.midamcat.com\/xactimate-id-subscribe\/\">Xactimate is current<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle ready\/in condition for immediate travel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Matt Meadows, Account Manager<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A fast computer with plenty of memory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Portable internet device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least a 17-20 ft ladder to access all one-stories. A 32+ ft ladder to access almost all homes if you want to go the extra mile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gas cans in case fuel supplies are limited<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cougar paws\/roofing shoes with new pads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up-to-date license for all potentially hit areas (North Carolina to Texas)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lousiana Citizens certification completed with MidAmCat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A recap of the recurring themes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, some of the suggestions reverberate throughout the responses. The total list can be broken down as follows (listed in order of frequency mentioned by our staff):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have your licenses up to date, especially for the Coastal states. This is the only thing <strong>mentioned by all seven responders<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure your equipment and tools (Cougar Paws, ladder, etc) are sufficient and ready to go. This was <strong>mentioned five times<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deployment readiness and communication with Deployment Departments were mentioned four times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three responders mentioned carrier certifications and in particular LPCIC and TWIA certifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A good computer, fast and with lots of memory, and Internet access were mentioned three times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure you have your Xactimate subscription. Be financially prepared to go to work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take care of medical appointments and needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review carrier guidelines.
