Attorney Riccio negotiated a plea deal that included a dismissal on 3 of the criminal 4 charges in exchange for a guilty plea on a single count of Disseminating Obscene Material (originally charged as Disseminating Obscene Material to Minor). By amending the charge, Attorney Riccio’s client avoided having to register as a sex offender with the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board (SORB).
Per the terms of the plea agreement, the client was placed on probation for one year. Prior to retaining Attorney Riccio, the prosecution sought a guilty plea on all three counts of Disseminating Obscene Material to Minor, which included registration as a sex offender and three years of probation.
