You kind of just get what you roll and have to make the best of it. If that\u2019s really true, life for most wouldn\u2019t be just a gamble, it would be fatal.<\/p>\n<p>I want to encourage you today and let you know that <b><i>your life is more than dice<\/i><\/b>.<b><i> <\/i><\/b>Your life is not just a roll of some cosmic die.<b><i> <\/i><\/b>You are not some random number or blip on a screen. You have a purpose and you are loved. You have talents and abilities and in fact, you are one of a kind!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>With that in mind, I challenge you to live up to your purpose and your potential. Blaze a trail and leave a legacy. Stephen Covey in his book <i>The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People<\/i>, asks his readers to consider how they want to be remembered. That question leads to one of his primary<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>principles Begin With The End in Mind.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>To do that though, I think there\u2019s three things we need to do<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1. Know your PURPOSE. What\u2019s your final destination? \u00a0Your purpose isn\u2019t your vocation but rather it\u2019s what you live for.<\/li>\n<li>2. Create a purpose statement &#8211; clearly defined END. Clearly state the WHAT and the WHY. Craig Groeschel in his book <em>Divine Destiny<\/em> states, \u201cWhen we know our destination, it\u2019s much clearer when and where we should start, stop, stay, and go.\u201d (p197)<\/li>\n<li>3. Realize that you are not ALONE.\n<ul>\n<li>Our stories are connected. Your life intersects with the lives of countless others. Live life together! Learn, challenge and serve one another as you grow.<\/li>\n<li>The God who created you wants to be an integral part of your story. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your life is more than dice!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BUT what about my mistakes,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0and my inadequacies?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I love this quote from Dr. Stephen R. Covey, \u201cYour most important work is always ahead of you, never behind you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paul, one of the most prominent influencers of faith has some great insight for us.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>I\u2019m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don\u2019t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I\u2019ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward\u2014to Jesus. I\u2019m off and running, and I\u2019m not turning back.<\/i> (Philippians 3:12-14, The Message)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The truth is, the glory in the story is the grace and mercy of God!\u00a0For the past there is forgiveness &#8211; For the present there is new life &#8211; For the future there is hope!
