About Jeff
Jeff attended Texas State University and shortly after began his career in the mortgage banking industry as a Team Manager for First USA Bank (Chase Bank) He was responsible for recruiting and training new employees to the First USA team for several years. During Jeff’s 17 year experience in the mortgage banking industry he managed several roles which exposed him to a diverse set of clients demands that he met successfully.
During Jeff’s time as a Mortgage Broker and Banker, he managed more than 100 State Licensed Loan Officers in Texas. He was responsible for developing several relationships with local Austin Businesses to drive more First-Time Homebuying programs.
Jeff has maintained relationships with top producing real estate agents with the intent to expand their client base by supporting them with a diverse portfolio of loan possibilities.
In the role of Real Estate investor, Jeff has developed his talents to be able to understand what a successful deal needs in order to achieve maximum results for their team. Jeff has an amazing ability to source Investors that have not seen success with other Teams as partners in deals for great development opportunities.
About Alex
Alex Whiddon began his 20 year career in construction working with his family on a vast array of commercial and residential projects all over the state of Texas. He is the third-generation builder who has been active in remodeling, new home construction, and the restoration of historic buildings. Due to the expertise gained on these diverse projects he can quickly overcome any issues that may arise from conception to the completion of development.
Prior to forming S & L, Alex managed projects for several leading builders such as Trinsic, Fairfield Development, and Trammel Crow. In his previous role as project manager he was responsible for the completion of 3,000 multifamily apartment homes and several modern high-rise buildings in Houston & Austin.
His diverse portfolio also includes the completion of over one hundred single family homes and several modern condominiums in Austin’s trendy SoCo area. Due to his experience working in family owned companies and large development firms has allowed Alex to develop strong relationships with excellent tradesmen, engineers, and architects in Texas.
In 2012 his work was recognized by the Historic Preservation Award from the city of San Antonio due to his success in the remodel of a Fire Station 12. The purpose of the Historic Preservation Awards is to honor those who have reached the highest level of accomplishment in historic preservation and to recognize the quality of preservation work achieved in the built environment. This project is an example of Alex’s outstanding attention to detail and ability to preserve history while meeting clients modern desire for a successful completion.
