A New Chapter for a Beloved
South Georgia Farm
Berry Good Farms has been a Tifton-area family favorite for years — a place where people come for the blueberries and leave with memories. Under new ownership by Hinojosa Family Farms LLC, we’re carrying that tradition forward with fresh energy, a commitment to the land, and a deep appreciation for what this farm means to this community.
We grow everything the right way. No synthetic pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers — only natural compounds, and only when truly needed. We do this with a genuine care for the land, the animals, and the people who visit. When you come to Berry Good Farms, you’re not just buying fruit — you’re spending time somewhere that matters.
Rooted in Faith. Grown With Love.
Built for Community.
Honoring a Legacy
Berry Good Farms was built by Bob and Pat Welker — two of the most remarkable people you’ll ever meet. For over 41 years, they poured their hearts into this land and gave this community a place to come for clean, naturally grown fruit and genuine Southern hospitality. What they built here is something special, and we don’t take that lightly for a single day.
A Step of Faith
My wife Danielle and I had dreamed of owning a piece of land for over 15 years. In early 2025, we felt God telling us clearly: the land He promised us was coming. So we took a step of faith, called Berry Good Farms, and came out with the family to see it. The moment we set foot on this property, we knew. The rest, as they say, is history.
The journey to get here wasn’t easy — there were many steps of faith along the way. But we received this farm as a gift from the Lord, and every single day we wake up grateful for it. We are not the owners of this place in any prideful sense. We are its stewards. And we take that seriously.
Going Even Deeper
Bob and Pat kept this farm clean — no synthetic chemicals, no pesticides. We are committed to carrying that forward and going even further. No synthetic pesticides. No synthetic fertilizers. No glyphosates. Nothing artificial on this property. We are actively studying and applying all-natural farming methodologies to grow the cleanest, most honest fruit we can. You can eat right off the bush here, and feel completely good about it.
A Place for Everyone
We love God, we love people, and we believe that food and the land have a way of bringing both together. This farm is a place of community — somewhere you can come and breathe, slow down, and bask in the beauty of what God has made. We have big things on the horizon: small event gatherings, prayer walks, and more. We want this to be a place of ministry, of fellowship, and above all, of genuine joy for families and individuals from all walks of life.
We have a saying around here: come and see what a very good God has made. We can’t wait to meet you on the farm.
— The Hinojosa Family
What We Believe
- Families deserve access to fresh, clean fruit grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, or glyphosates
- The best memories are made in places like this
- Good farming is slow, patient, and honest work
- A farm can be a place of community, ministry, and genuine joy — all at the same time
- South Georgia is a special place — and this farm is a gift entrusted to us to steward well
- Food brings people together — and this farm is a place where that happens every day
- We are stewards, not just owners — this land was given to us, and we hold it with gratitude
Our Extended Family
Life on the farm wouldn’t be the same without the rest of our crew.
From hungry goats to sassy chickens, every animal here plays a part in what makes this place feel alive.
They’re not just animals, they’re part of the family.
Meet some of them:
- Olga — one of our most opinionated chickens
- Messi & Ronaldo — because they’re the G.O.A.T.S.
- Miss Piggy — super shy and runs from everything
- Snowball — unofficial farm greeter
And many more you’ll meet when you come visit.
